Class Recipe Book
Students and their families created a page sharing their favorite recipe along with family photos of them making it, or videos explaining tips and tricks. In this cross curricular activity students were focused on writing functional text and using their knowledge of measurements. Families got to share their family traditions and heritage through these recipes and pictures. Some families even made some of the recipes and sent me photos. My multilingual students wrote recipes in two languages. |
Car Window Poetry
After learning about different types of poems and how poetry is an expression of peoples lives, my students created their own poems to share with the community. Through simple copies, my students made little poems with pictures and then placed them on staff cars, or cars at local grocery stories to inspire others and spread cheer. https://www.carwindowpoetry.com/ |
